About Midas

A place for original voices and bold ideas.

Midas is a story-discovery platform built around script competitions. Our focus is helping writers put their strongest work forward, with clear entry requirements and a path to development consideration.

The people reading your work

Each competition has its own judging panel. Judge names for this cycle are soon to be announced.

Your story stays yours

You keep copyright. Entering does not give Midas an option. Semi-finalists stay non-exclusive. A finalist negotiation period starts only after a separate acceptance, and a grand-prize period replaces it only after its own acceptance. Any option or production deal is a separate contract.

Development opportunities are not guaranteed. Any potential shopping, development, option, acquisition, representation, financing or production arrangement is subject to Midas’s discretion and, where applicable, a separate written agreement.
